Well, Thanksgiving is just around the corner and with school being out for a while I wanna get back in the game.
Flash, Unity, both of them just might NOT be how I'm gonna make this thing.
Ever heard of Processing? Yeah, that little app with the overly excited tutorial guy. It just might be what I'm looking for.
I feel that it'll use the graphics card more, so I can make the sprites more appealing. It'll also be exportable for Android should I decide to release it that way (can't be on Google Play though).
Here's my selling point though, the SVG capabilities. It can load em' and show em', BUT you can also set fills and strokes to customize it.
Now, I don't know if you know what it takes to make something like this in Flash, but for some strange reason they don't have a way to do it how Processing does it. ColorTransform, yes, but that colors the stroke too, losing the outline.
So to get around that, every piece of the character needs two movieclips, one for the fill and one for the stroke, and then use ColorTransform on each. SVG on Processing will make that easier, keeping the graphic in a single object for one.
So I'm gonna take some time to process this new method

The fork in the road is back! Should I switch this project to Unity? I've spent a long time trying to get controllers to work right in Flash, but Unity has that covered. The UI system in Unity is probably a lot better too.
Here's the thing. Flash is ...
Whew! Controllers for this game was one heck of a bottleneck for progress, but I'm finally starting to make it through. It's been tough designing the controller classes since that's one of the few things I haven't done before in a game.
What's that? ...
